Selection of Turner Construction Company to provide Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) Services for Orange County Convention Center Phase 5A Improvements, Request for Proposals Y24-809-TA.
Further request Board authorization for to the Procurement Division to negotiate all phases and execute the final contract in the not-to-exceed budget amount of $2,500,000 for the design assist and constructability review phases. The enabling work and guaranteed maximum price phases will be brought separately to the Board for future approval. PROCUREMENT:
The Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) shall provide construction management services for the above-referenced project. This current project will only build Project 5A (previously referred to as the Grand Concourse). Services may include, but not necessarily limited to, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, civil, survey, low voltage, cost estimator, and structural as required in the execution of the construction documents by the CMAR.
The CMAR shall provide construction services in a timely manner in order to allow sufficient time to complete construction by June 2028. The construction contract shall be delivered as a CMAR with a guaranteed maximum price. The CMAR shall be available to provide cost estimates for comparison and value engineering concepts for review.
