PURPOSE: The Orange County Youth and Family services Division has been awarded funding through the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) to install permanent generators at the locations listed below. Securing this funding is part of our continuing commitment to enhancing our disaster resilience efforts. Significant initiatives, such as installing permanent generators, play a crucial role in ensuring uninterrupted services and safety during emergencies. This funding will ensure that we are able to provide a continuous power supply during emergencies which will enable us to maintain communications, medical services, and other essential functions that rely on electricity during an emergency.

Through this program, Orange County has been awarded $555,969.05 in grant funding as a subrecipient. As part of the HMGP grant, FEMA covers up to 75% of eligible project costs, requiring a non-federal share of at least 25%.
