PROJECT: First Amendment to Project Administration Subrecipient Agreement with Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida, Inc.
PURPOSE: On January 10, 2025, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) made a special allocation of $512,694 in the Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) Program funds to Orange County known as Rapid Unsheltered Survivor Housing (RUSH) funding. This special allocation was intended to address the needs of homeless individuals and families or individuals and families at risk of homelessness in areas affected by Hurricane Helene (DR-4828-FL) and Hurricane Milton (DR-4834-FL).
On August 26, 2025, the Board approved a project administration subrecipient agreement with Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida, Inc. in the amount of $258,000 in ESG RUSH funds to offer rapid re-housing services to qualified individuals and households. The Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida, Inc. has now requested to amend the existing agreement budget to reduce the amount of funds allocated to rapid re-housing rental and financial assistance by a total amount of $42,056 and to use these funds to cover personnel costs related to intake and case management (a new budget line), which are inte...
