The Clerk of the Board is responsible for keeping accurate minutes and maintaining Board records for each Board of County Commissioner (BCC) and Value Adjustment Board (VAB) meeting. In addition, every 4 years, the Clerk of the Board office provides staff support to the Charter Review Commission (CRC) appointed by the BCC. BACKGROUND:
Pursuant to Section 194.013, Florida Statutes, the VAB has approved a $15 petition filing fee in the past, where applicable. Per statute, this is the maximum allowable fee. Fees collected during the last 5 years were as follows:
2020 $65,405.00
2021 $58,865.00
2022 $50,145.00
2023 $53,425.00
2024 $57,235.00
All filing fees collected by the clerk are allocated and utilized to defray, to the extent possible, the costs incurred in connection with the administration and operation of the value adjustment board.
