PROJECT:
Donation Agreement between Orange County Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) and Habitat for Humanity Greater Orlando and Osceola County, Inc. (“Habitat”) regarding the donation of CRA-owned properties to Habitat for the construction of permanent affordable housing.

PURPOSE: The Orange County CRA, comprised of the members of the Board of County Commissioners, formed in 1990 for the public purpose of revitalizing slum or blighted areas within the City of Orlando and unincorporated Orange County along South Orange Blossom Trail and bound by West Colonial Drive, Westmoreland Drive, Interstate 4, and Rio Grande Avenue (“Redevelopment Area”). The CRA retained the services of the Orange Blossom Trail Development Board (OBTDB) to perform redevelopment activities within the Redevelopment Area through an agreement originally approved by the County in 1991. The agreement was most recently amended, restated, and approved by the Board on September 13, 2022. The OBTDB seeks CRA approval for the donation of four CRA-owned properties to Habitat for the construction of permanent affordable housing. The properties are within the Redevelopment Area. The donation agreement will go to the OBTDB for its recommendation on February 25, 2026.
