The Clerk of the Board is responsible for keeping accurate minutes and maintaining Board records for each Board of County Commissioner (BCC) and Value Adjustment Board (VAB) meeting. In addition, every 4 years, the Clerk of the Board office provides staff support to the Charter Review Commission (CRC) appointed by the BCC. PURPOSE: The enabling legislation for the Orange County Research and Development Authority designates one seat on the authority for a representative of the University of Central Florida (UCF). Currently, Dr. Winston Schoenfeld serves as the UCF representative. His term expired August 24, 2025. The Board of County Commissioners appoints the UCF representative based on a recommendation from the President of UCF.
UCF has nominated Dr. Schoenfeld for reappointment to a four-year term expiring August 24, 2028. Please note that Dr. Schoenfeld is not an Orange County resident and his reappointment will require a supermajority (5) vote of the Board.
