Approval and execution of Resolution 2024-M-59 of the Orange County Board of County Commissioners regarding Compliance with Section 2.02 of the Interlocal Agreement of the Water Cooperative of Central Florida recognizing Commissioner Nicole Wilson as the designated Supervisor of the Governing Board of the Water Cooperative of Central Florida with a term expiring December 1, 2026. PURPOSE: On August 30, 2011, the Board approved the Interlocal Agreement Relating to the Establishment of the Water Cooperative of Central Florida (“Interlocal Agreement”).
In accordance with Section 2.02 of the Interlocal Agreement, entitled “Governing Body,” Orange County must designate one member to serve on the governing body of the Water Cooperative of Central Florida, known as the Board of Supervisors. Additionally, in accordance with Section 2.02, the member representing Orange County shall be the Orange County Mayor or such member of the Board of County Commissioners as the Mayor shall designate.
This Resolution recognizes that the Mayor has designated District 1 Orange County Commissioner Nicole H. Wilson to represent Orange County on the Board of Supervisors with a term expiring December 1, 2026.
