Approval of Change Order No. 2, Task Authorization No. 34, Contract Y18-907B, Tangelo Park Community Center, with KMF Architects, LLC, in the amount of $15,230, for a revised total amount of $367,882.81. ([Administrative Services Department Capital Projects Division] Procurement Division)

PROCUREMENT:
This amendment authorizes additional professional design services for the Tangelo Park Community Center. Construction Administration Services for the project were through the original completion period of December 2025. The project was delayed due to unforeseen conditions to include the discovery of muck and required demucking, along with mid construction, the Building Division imposed threshold requirements. These unforeseen conditions have extended project completion 10 months from the original completion date. The additional services are for seven of the 10 months for extended Construction Administration Services. These services will extend construction administration observation through October 31, 2026. This project is in District 6.
FUNDING:
Funding is available on account number 1023-062-2568-3197.
APPROVALS:
The Capital Projects Division concurs with this recommendation.
REMARKS:
On October 16, 2018, the Board approved the selection of KMF Architects, LLC to provide professional services through continuing contract Y18-907B which was executed January 7, 2019. On July 26, 2021, Task Authorization No. 34 was issued for the Tangelo Park Community Center in the total task authorization amount of $250,000.
