Approval of Amendment No. 10, Contract Y12-1099, Red Light Enforcement System, with American Traffic Solutions, Inc., in the amount of $2,486,700, for a revised estimated contract amount of $23,665,070, for a 12-month contract extension, and wind-down agreement occurring concurrently. PROCUREMENT:
This amendment will extend the contract for the period of September 1, 2026 through August 31, 2027 to allow a smooth transition to the new awarded contractor. Projected revenue generated for the extension time frame is approximately $2,830,043. The transition period is projected to close by August 2027.
FUNDING:
Funding is available in account number 1002-072-2718-3197.
DISCUSSION:
On September 9, 2013, the Board selected American Traffic Solutions, Inc., and authorized the Procurement Division to execute a contract in the amount of $15,784,320 for a four-year term and authorized the Procurement Division to exercise three two-year renewals. The contract encompasses services related to red-light enforcement systems for signalized intersections throughout Orange County.
The requested contract extension, together with the included wind-down agreement, will facilitate an organized and structured transition between vendors while ensuring the continuity of safety coverage at critical intersections.
