Approval to award Invitation for Bids Y25-154-JA, Refrigeration Equipment Preventative Maintenance, Repairs, and Replacement at Orange County Convention Center, to the low responsive and responsible bidder, Whaley Foodservice, LLC, in the estimated contract award amount of $2,635,400 for a five-year term. PROCUREMENT:
This contract will provide all labor and equipment necessary to perform preventative maintenance inspections and as-needed repairs on approximately 500 pieces of refrigeration equipment at the Orange County Convention Center.
FUNDING:
Funding is available in account number 4430-035-0931-3810.
APPROVALS:
The Orange County Convention Center and the Business Development Division concur with this recommendation.
REMARKS:
Two bids were received in response to the Invitation for Bids (IFB) and were evaluated for responsiveness, responsibility, and price reasonableness. McCloskey Mechanical Contractors, Inc. was deemed non-responsible for failure to submit required documents and references that were not similar in scope and material of the IFB. The bid submitted by Whaley Foodservice, LLC is considered reasonable based on comparison to the current contracted rate adjusted.
