Approval and execution for the Orange County Sheriff’s Office to spend $14,500 from the FY 2026 Law Enforcement Trust Fund-State Forfeitures for eligible contributions to Florida Sheriff’s Youth Ranches ($5,000) and Camaraderie Foundation ($9,500). (Office of Management and Budget)

PURPOSE:
Contributions:
Florida Sheriff’s Youth Ranches - $5,000. This contribution is in support of juvenile delinquency prevention through early intervention and other family-centered services. The residential campuses, summer camp activities, and outreach programs all include components addressing the dangers of drugs and alcohol, cultural diversity, and conflict resolution.
Camaraderie Foundation - $9,500. This organization’s goal is to help all branches of Post-9/11 Veterans, Service Members, and their families by providing free counseling, support, and camaraderie when they need it most.
$1,000 will go towards the PSTD Awareness Fundraising Breakfast which will be held on June 25, 2026, at the Celeste Hotel in Orlando, Florida.
$7,500 of the contribution will go towards The American Patriot Gala event which will be held on September 19, 2026, at the Hilton Orlando Altamonte Springs.
$1,000 will go towards the Camaraderie in Motion 5K which will be held on November 8, 2026, at Glenda Hood Park in Orlando, Florida.
