Approval of Amendment No. 3, Contract Y21-807, Final Engineering Design Services for Little Econ Trail Phase 3, with DRMP, Inc., in the amount of $109,507.58, for a revised total contract amount of $859,405.75. ([Public Works Department Engineering Division] Procurement Division)

PROCUREMENT:
This amendment will cover additional geotechnical investigations not included in the original design scope. The Consultant will perform Standard Penetration Test borings at five proposed pier locations to depths of 125 feet and deepen four existing borings to the same depth. These additional services were requested by the Florida Department of Transportation following the 30% design review to further evaluate subsurface soil and groundwater conditions in accordance with their Soils and Foundations Handbook. The data collected will support design and construction recommendations for the proposed pedestrian bridge crossing. The design contract will be extended an additional 572 days, through July 31, 2026.
FUNDING:
Funding is available in account number 1265-062-1915-6310.
APPROVALS:
The Public Works Engineering Division concurs with this recommendation.
REMARKS:
The Board approved the selection of DRMP, Inc. on August 24, 2021. The contract was executed on December 5, the lump sum amount of $749,898.17, which encompassed the final engineering design and construction plan preparation for the Little Econ Trail Phase 3 {S.R. 436 Pedestrian Bridge} (From Baldwin Park Street to Richard Crotty Parkway).
