Approval of Amendment No. 2, Contract Y24-2013, Provision of Community Services and Facility Use, with Foundation for Orange County Public Schools, Inc., in the amount of $450,912.60, for a revised total contract amount of $2,147,825.20. PROCUREMENT:
This amendment adds funding to support programming focused on immersive employment experiences and career training opportunities for students. Programming exposes students to careers that align with their interests while also building valuable professional skills, including communication, self-advocacy, and the ability to effectively work with others in a professional setting.
The additional funding will be sourced from Children's Services Rollover Funding and must be utilized by the conclusion of the contract year ending December 31, 2026. This funding will result in an additional 6,220 hours of services provided to an additional 318 students during the contract year.
APPROVALS:
The Citizens' Commission for Children Advisory Board recommended the continuation of funding for existing youth employment, internship, and apprenticeship programming. The Citizens' Commission for Children Division (CCC) concurs with the funding recommendation. Foundation for Orange County Public Schools, Inc. has previously received funding from the CCC for programs including reading and math coaches, arts innovation and learning loss prevention/intervention programming.
