The Clerk of the Board is responsible for keeping accurate minutes and maintaining Board records for each Board of County Commissioner (BCC) and Value Adjustment Board (VAB) meeting. In addition, every 4 years, the Clerk of the Board office provides staff support to the Charter Review Commission (CRC) appointed by the BCC. Please contact our office if you need an accessible version of documents on this page, and one will be provided.

PROJECT: Resolution for Amending the Fire and Life Safety Inspection Service Fees Charged by the Orange County Fire Rescue Department

 

PURPOSE: In 2023, Orange County Fire Rescue implemented a fee-based inspection program to remain compliant with changes to the Florida Fire Prevention Code. The current fee schedule includes a maximum cap of $5,000 per inspection. The inspection cap charge was derived through Florida Statute Chapter 633, Section 216 (1), which states that the county can only charge for the inspections and related administrative expenses. The Office of the Fire Marshal Inspection Fee Schedule Update in 2025 is necessary to add a cap in the amount of $8,000 to properties with multiple buildings, in compliance with Florida Statute Chapter 633, Section 216.
