SUBJECT: Award of Invitation for Bids Y25-1010-GO, Traffic Signal Preventative Maintenance and Inspection Services

Approval to award Invitation for Bids Y25-1010-GO, Traffic Signal Preventative Maintenance and Inspection Services, to the low responsive and responsible bidder, Yunex, LLC, in the estimated contract award amount of $5,940,050 for a five-year term.
In the event the bidder recommended above fails to achieve timely compliance with pre-award deliverables, as defined in the Invitation for Bids, including, but not limited to, State Division of Corporations registration, E-verify, insurance and bonds, further request Board authorization for the Procurement Division to award to the next low responsive and responsible bidder as listed in the bid tabulation herein, to the extent practicable and advantageous to the County. PROCUREMENT:
Work under the contract consists of annual site review and inspection of traffic systems to include traffic signalized intersections, school zone flasher warning systems, and flashing beacon devices. Work will be inclusive of emergency call out (trouble shooting in the event of equipment malfunction, failure, or damage) and inspection of completed repairs. Work will be issued on an as-needed basis throughout Orange County.
FUNDING:
Funding is available in account number 1004-072-5146-3816.

The Traffic Engineering Division concurs with this recommendation.
