Approval and execution of Resolution of the Orange County Board of County Commissioners regarding reappointment of Commissioner Nicole H. Wilson as the Supervisor representing Orange County on the Board of Supervisors of the Water Cooperative of Central Florida with a term expiring December 1, 2028. All Districts. PURPOSE: On August 30, 2011, the Board approved the Interlocal Agreement relating to the establishment of the Water Cooperative of Central Florida (“Interlocal Agreement”). The Interlocal Agreement and its associated amendments address obligations of the Cypress Lake alternative water supply project including project management and administration, financial obligations, land acquisition, design, permitting, bidding, and construction of assets.
In accordance with Section 2.02 of the Interlocal Agreement, entitled “Governing Body,” Orange County must designate one member to serve on the governing body of the Water Cooperative of Central Florida, known as the Board of Supervisors. Additionally, in accordance with Section 2.02, the member representing Orange County shall be the Orange County Mayor or such member of the Board of County Commissioners as the Mayor shall designate.
This resolution recognizes that Mayor Demings has designated District 1 Commissioner Nicole H. Wilson to represent Orange County on the Board of Supervisors with a term expiring December 1, 2028.
