Approval of Contract Y25-190, Rental Assistance Agreement, with Central Florida Family Health Center, Inc. dba True Health LLC, in the estimated contract amount of $595,296 for a one-year term. Further request Board authorization for the Procurement Division to renew the contract for four additional one-year terms. PROCUREMENT:
This contract provides rental assistance to support the provision of medical care to uninsured and underinsured citizens in Orange County through the Primary Care Access Network, Inc. (PCAN) program. The agreement period is February 1, 2025 through January 31, 2026.
FUNDING:
Funds are available in account number 0001-060-2502-8610.
APPROVALS:
The Health Services Department concurs with this recommendation.
REMARKS:
In accordance with the Code of Ordinances, Part 1, Chapter 17, Article III, Section 17-286 - Application and exclusions, agreements between the Board and nonprofit organizations are excluded from competitive procurement requirements.
The County leased the space for the Hoffner PCAN Clinic located at 5449 Semoran Blvd. and operated by True Health until January 31, 2025. As of February 1, True Health assumed the lease, and this agreement will provide them with funding to fully offset the lease costs and support continued healthcare services for the uninsured and underinsured at this location. The Hoffner PCAN Clinic provides primary care, pediatric, OB/GYN, podiatry, behavioral health, and pharmacy services to 11,233 patients who made 28,979 visits in 2023.
