PURPOSE:

Equipment:

RMCI Inc. - $100,952.93.
This request is to purchase one (1) RMCI XRDS Health and Usage Monitoring System (HUMS) for installation on the Aviation Section’s Bell 407 helicopter Chase 5. The RMCI XRDS HUMS is an advanced aircraft health monitoring system that continuously collects and analyzes vibration and operational data from critical aircraft components. This will replace the portable Rotor Track and Balance equipment that is currently being used and must be manually installed and removed each time vibration analysis is required. Implementation of the HUMS system is expected to substantially reduce maintenance labor hours, decrease the number of maintenance test flights, improve troubleshooting efficiency, and increase aircraft availability for law enforcement operations.
