PROJECT: Grand Avenue Economic Community Development Corp.
PURPOSE: As part of the Fiscal Year 2026-2027 State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Program, Orange County allocated funding to preserve the affordability and habitability of existing affordable housing. Grand Avenue Economic Community Development Corp. was awarded $538,560 in SHIP funding to complete the re-piping of 64 residential units at the Maxwell Garden Apartments, an affordable housing development serving low-income households. This project will improve efficiency, safety, and long-term resiliency by replacing aging hot and cold water plumbing lines.
Execution of the Subrecipient Agreement is necessary to establish the terms and conditions governing the use of SHIP funds and to facilitate implementation of the approved project in accordance with the Orange County Local Housing Assistance Plan.
