Approval and execution of (1) Facility and Land Use Agreement Between The School Board of Orange County, Florida and Orange County, Florida regarding Head Start Program 2026-2027 in an amount not-to-exceed $232,086.90 and (2) Delegation of Signing Authority for the Facility and Land Use Agreement related to the Orange County Head Start Program; and authorization to execute renewals of the agreement to the Director of the Community and Family Services Department, with consult of the County Attorney's Office, so long as; there have been no substantial changes to the terms and conditions of the agreement and the funding considered to make payment pursuant to the agreement has already been approved by the Board of County Commissioners in the Head Start Division's budget. PURPOSE: The Head Start Division requests Board approval of the Facility and Land Use Agreement between the School Board and Orange County. Head Start provides comprehensive early childhood development for preschool children and support to their families at the following elementary schools: Aloma, Conway, Dover Shores, Englewood, Frangus, Lake George, Lovell, Maxey, Riverside, Rosemont, Ventura, Washington Shores, and West Oaks.
The total compensation for the Facility and Land Use Agreement shall not exceed $232,086.90 per year.
The County Attorney’s Office and the Risk Management Division have reviewed the agreement for legality and compliance with County requirements.
