PROJECT:
Neighborhood Beautification Grants

PURPOSE: The Neighborhood Services Division administers the Neighborhood Beautification Grant Program, which provides funds for neighborhood organizations to enhance the quality of their communities. The grants are available countywide for up to $15,000 for physical improvements to communities. Per the program’s guidelines, mandatory homeowners’ associations are required to pay a 50% match for their projects, and there is no match required for projects done by voluntary neighborhood organizations. The applications are reviewed based on project feasibility, organizational readiness, and benefit to the community. Finally, the organizations receiving the grants are required to sign a letter of agreement recognizing their responsibilities throughout the grant process and demonstrating their ability to maintain the project. Applications are accepted year-round and are reviewed quarterly by the Neighborhood Grants Advisory Board.
