PURPOSE:
On April 11, 2023, the Board approved the LYNX Bus Service Agreement for public transportation within the International Drive Community Redevelopment Area (CRA) for FY 2023-2024. The agreement appropriated $2,089,717 for the public transportation services that relate to Links 8, 37, 38, and 42 and will result in extended hours of operation to better match hospitality work shifts and increased frequency of service. Having further reviewed the actual service hours and hourly service rate required for the service; LYNX has adjusted the hourly service rate from last year of $103.69 per hour to $105.42 per hour (includes no additional service hours) thereby increasing the funding request from $2,089,717 to $2,124,643 (an additional $34,926). The bus service agreement amendment reflects these increased costs attributable to the International Drive CRA. This agreement has been reviewed by the Office of Management and Budget and the County Attorney's Office.
