Approval of Amendment No. 3, Federal Subrecipient Agreement Y22-2414, Providing Peer Respite Services to Orange County Residents Experiencing Mental Health Stressors, with Peer Support Space, Inc., in the amount of $190,000 for a revised estimated not-to-exceed amount of $1,035,451.63. PROCUREMENT:
This amendment will provide additional funding to support the continuation of overnight respite services, aftercare, and other peer-led services. Overnight respite provides individuals in need the opportunity to unplug from stressors and avert a crisis that otherwise would result in inpatient hospitalization. The amendment also will replace Attachment 3, Subaward Budget Version 2.0 with Version 3.0.
FUNDING:
Funding is available in account number 5896-019-8611-8610. This subaward utilizes funds from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Coronavirus Local Fiscal Recovery Fund.
APPROVALS:
The Mental Health and Homelessness Division concurs with this recommendation.
REMARKS:
This increase in ARPA funding will continue to provide access to the overnight respite services for approximately 20 individuals monthly and approximately 60 additional individuals will benefit from peer support training and technical assistance monthly.
