In addition, every 4 years, the Clerk of the Board office provides staff support to the Charter Review Commission (CRC) appointed by the BCC. PROJECT: N/A
PURPOSE: The purpose of this memo is to request approval of a License Agreement for Turner Construction Company to utilize Orange County owned vacant property as a lay down area for the Orange County Convention Center Phase 5A Improvements project under Contract Y24-809. The License Agreement is attached for reference. The county owned property was purchased with Tourist Development Tax funds and is referenced as Exhibit A in the attached document. It is located between State Road 528 and Aquatica, approximately 1.2 miles from the project site. The project site is along the west side of the Orange County Convention Center North-South Building. The scope of the project is to provide over 650,000 square feet of building space for the North-South Building to include a 100,000 square foot ballroom, meeting rooms, conditioned concourse, and additional support infrastructure to service clients and conventions. The construction is scheduled in coordination around active convention activity. The term of this Agreement is two years upon execution unless sooner terminated or extended based on the provisions within the Agreement.
