PROCUREMENT:
Work under this contract includes the removal/abandonment of existing septic tanks and drainfields, and placement of new sanitary sewer collection and transmission system consisting of gravity sewer lines, manholes, lift stations and force-mains and connection to the Orange County Utilities system. This project is located in District 2.
FUNDING:
Funding is available in account number 1023-043-0263-3810.
APPROVALS:
The Capital Projects Division concurs with this recommendation.
REMARKS:
Eleven bids were received in response to the Invitation for Bids (IFB) and evaluated for responsiveness, responsibility, and price reasonableness. The bids submitted by Anderson Place Construction, LLC and Heavy Metal Site Development were deemed non-responsive for failure to submit valid bid bonds as prescribed in the IFB. NuJak Companies, Inc. was deemed non-responsible for failure to meet the similar project criteria, as verified through the references provided. The bid submitted by AP Construction Contractor, LLC is considered reasonable based on the engineer's estimate. References provided were satisfactory for this type of work and AP Construction Contractor, LLC has been determined to be responsible. Therefore, award is recommended to AP Construction Contractor, LLC.
