PROJECT: Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida, Inc.

PURPOSE: On August 5, 2025, the Board approved the 2025-2026 Annual Action Plan for housing and community development programs funded through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The Action Plan utilizes some of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds to support capital improvements related to the rehabilitation of public facilities that provide services to low to moderate income individuals and families, to include homeless people.

CDBG funds have been awarded to the Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida to construct a new emergency shelter for homeless women and children.  Orange County must execute a Subrecipient Agreement for this capital improvement project.  The proposed agreement has been reviewed by the County Attorney’s Office as to form.
