PROJECT: FY 2025 Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) Participants Agreement, Federally Funded Subgrant Agreement Number R1376

PURPOSE: The Fire Rescue Department is requesting approval and execution of the FY 2025 Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) Participants Agreement associated with Federally Funded Subgrant Agreement Number R1376 between the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, as the UASI Recipient, and Orange, Seminole, Lake, and Osceola Counties as participating agencies. There is no local match required. Orange County Fire Rescue’s FY 2025 UASI funding is allocated as 1.) Orange County Fire Rescue MOBEX - $166,875 for funding to support Orange County Fire Rescue MOBEX activities and strengthen regional operational readiness and multi-agency response capabilities, 2.) OCFR MOBEX Training (USAR) - $55,625 for funding to support USAR training associated with the regional MOBEX and enhance the preparedness and proficiency of participating personnel, and 3.) OCFR USAR Sustainment (Equipment) - $48,394 for funding to support OCFR USAR sustainment equipment. The combined Orange County Fire Rescue FY 2025 UASI allocation is $270,894.
