All Districts. (Housing and Community Development Division)
body
PROJECT: Community Contribution Tax Credit Program - Application from Habitat for Humanity Greater Orlando and Osceola County, Inc.
PURPOSE: The Community Contribution Tax Credit Program provides a financial incentive of up to a 50 percent tax credit or sales tax refund to encourage businesses to make donations towards community development and housing projects for low-income households. Businesses are allowed to take credit on Florida corporate income taxes, insurance premium taxes, or as a refund against sales tax. Habitat for Humanity of Greater Orlando and Osceola County, Inc., is requesting to qualify projects in Lockhart/Rosemont North, Holden Heights, Orlo Vista, Pine Hills, Oak Ridge, Bithlo, and Malibu Groves/Lake Mann Estates, as designated projects under the Community Contribution Tax Credit Program. Pursuant to Florida Statutes Section 220.183, the designation requires the local government to adopt a resolution certifying the projects are consistent with local plans and regulations.
The County Attorney’s Office has reviewed the Resolution as to form.
