The Clerk of the Board is responsible for keeping accurate minutes and maintaining Board records for each Board of County Commissioner (BCC) and Value Adjustment Board (VAB) meeting. In addition, every 4 years, the Clerk of the Board office provides staff support to the Charter Review Commission (CRC) appointed by the BCC. Provide an overview of Florida’s property tax system. [FAC 12D-9.013(1)(i)]
BACKGROUND:
As per Florida Administrative Code, 12D-9.013(1)(i), the VAB is required to discuss Florida’s property tax system at its organizational meeting, including the respective roles of parties within the system, opportunities for taxpayer participation, and a summary of taxpayer rights.
