The Clerk of the Board is responsible for keeping accurate minutes and maintaining Board records for each Board of County Commissioner (BCC) and Value Adjustment Board (VAB) meeting. In addition, every 4 years, the Clerk of the Board office provides staff support to the Charter Review Commission (CRC) appointed by the BCC. PURPOSE: On October 31, 2017, the Board approved Resolution No. 2017-M-43, creating the Tourist Development Tax Sports Incentive Committee (“Committee”). The Committee reviews applications for sports incentive funds authorized under the Tourist Development Plan and submits recommendations to the Board for final determination on funding requests. The Committee is comprised of seven members in the following categories:
chairperson selected by the Mayor and confirmed by the Board;
certified public accountant;
citizen representative;
major Central Florida theme park representative;
Visit Orlando representative;
Central Florida Hotel & Lodging Association representative; and
International Drive Resort Area Chamber of Commerce representative.
The term of the Visit Orlando representative, Daniel Giordano, expired December 31, 2025. Accordingly, Visit Orlando has nominated Mr. Giordano for reappointment with a term expiring December 31, 2028.
