PROCUREMENT:
This contract will provide shelter and stability components to individuals and families experiencing homelessness while delivering housing-focused case management designed to promote rapid stabilization and transition to permanent housing. The contract term will be October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027.
FUNDING:
Funding is available in account number 0001-062-2504-8610.
APPROVALS:
The Mental Health and Homelessness Division concurs with this recommendation.
REMARKS:
In accordance with the Code of Ordinances Part 1, Chapter 17, Article III, Section 17-286- Application and Exclusions, agreements between the Board and non-profit organizations are excluded from competitive procurement requirements.
The Coalition for the Homelessness of Central Florida, Inc., (Coalition) a non-for-profit corporation, is the largest provider of homeless sheltering services in the Central Florida area. The County has partnered with the Coalition since 2017. They are the current provider for these types of services under Y22-2000 and have performed satisfactorily.
