PURPOSE: Beginning in 2022, the Board dedicated $17.8 million from the American Rescue Plan Act funding to be dedicated for Workforce and Job Training. This is one of many efforts by Orange County to provide financial relief and support to residents that are experiencing financial hardship, have been slow to recover economically from COVID-19, and to prepare citizens for long term financial stability.  Career Source Central Florida was contracted by the county to retrain, upskill, and place citizens in jobs.  The purpose of this update is to share the work that has been done and the impact accomplished.
