PROCUREMENT:
This amendment will extend the period of performance from August 1, 2024, to September 30, 2026, and adds funding to support the extended performance period. Additionally, this amendment will update the County liaison to Isabelle Klier-Graham.
FUNDING:
Funds are available in account number 5896-019-8611-8610. Funding is provided by the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 Coronavirus Local Fiscal Recovery Fund allocation received by the County on May 18, 2021.
APPROVALS:
The Mental Health and Homelessness Division concurs with this recommendation.
REMARKS:
On October 10, 2023, the Board authorized the award of contract Y22-2414 with Peer Support Space, Inc. in the estimated contract amount of $427,451.63 for a one-year term.
The additional funding will provide continued support to provide peer support, an evidence-based practice for individuals with mental health conditions or challenges. Evidence indicates that peer support lowers the overall cost of mental health services by reducing re-hospitalization and days spent in inpatient care.
