Approval of Amendment No. 1, Contract Y24-2013, Provision of Community Services and Facility Use, with Foundation for Orange County Public Schools, Inc., in the amount of $450,912.60, for a revised contract total of $1,696,912.60. PROCUREMENT:
This amendment will provide additional funding for the existing services provided under this contract. This strategic approach will continue to enhance outcomes for youth by investing in immersive employment experiences and career training opportunities for students. Programming will expose students to careers that align with their interests while also building valuable professional skills, including communication, self-advocacy, and the ability to effectively work with others in a professional setting.[CM1]
The additional funding will be sourced from Children's Services Rollover Funding and must be utilized by the conclusion of the current contract year, ending December 31, 2025. This funding will result in an additional 6,220 hours of services provided to an additional 318 students during the contract year.
APPROVALS:
The Citizens' Commission for Children concurs with this recommendation.
REMARKS:
On May 21, 2024, the Board authorized award of Contract Y24-2013 to Orange County Public Schools, Inc., in the total contract award amount of $1,246,000 for a three-year term.
