PURPOSE: Orange County applied for and received a Community Project Funding Grant, administered by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, to create two transportation mobility hubs within Congressional District 10. A mobility hub is a centralized location designed for safe, convenient, and reliable access to multiple modes of transportation. Mobility hubs contain various amenities for persons walking, biking, and using transit. The mobility hubs will be done in partnership with LYNX for the LYNX Pine Hills Transfer Center and Orange County Public Schools for an Orange Technical College campus location. The grant award is for $271,000.
