PROCUREMENT:
This contract will provide commercial-grade air filters on an as-needed basis for Orange County-maintained buildings to ensure clean air quality, protection of HVAC equipment, and reduce energy costs.
FUNDING:
Funding is available in account 0001-043-1713-3810, 0001-043-1715-3810, 0001-043-1717-3810, 0001-043-1718-3810, 0001-043-1719-3810, and 0001-043-1726-3810.
APPROVALS:
The Facilities Management Division and Business Development Division concur with this recommendation.
REMARKS:
Eight bids were received in response to this Invitation for Bids (IFB) and were evaluated for responsiveness, responsibility, and price reasonableness.
Filterbuy Incorporated, Filter King LLC, Japan Air Filters Americas Corporation, Northgate Limited Inc., and Puremaxx LLC were deemed non-responsive for failure to comply with the Sample Requirements. BMB Filtration was deemed non-responsible for submitting damaged samples unsustainable to evaluate. Florence Filter Corporation was deemed non-responsible for submitting samples that are electrostatically charged to achieve the Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value (MERV) ratings.
