Approval of the Neighborhood Grants Advisory Board recommendations for November 2024 Neighborhood Beautification Grants to Avalon Home and Property Owners' Association, Inc. (Lake Avalon Rural Settlement) ($8,197), The Trails of Winter Garden Homeowners' Association, Inc. ($3,912.50), Cambridge Village Homeowners' Association, Inc. ($12,500), Golden Estates ($15,000), Lake Mendelin Estates ($15,000), People of Powers Pointe ($15,000), Quail Ridge Homeowners' Association of Orlando, Inc. ($15,000), The Preserve at Crown Point Homeowners' Association, Inc. ($13,217.50), Greentree at Park Manor ($15,000), Bel Aire Woods ($15,000), Robinswood Community Improvement Association, Inc. ($5,000), and Silver Oaks Community Coalition ($15,000) and authorization for the Director of Planning, Environmental, and Development Services to execute the associated grant agreements. PROJECT: Neighborhood Beautification Grants
PURPOSE: The Neighborhood Services Division administers the Neighborhood Beautification Grant Program, which provides funds for neighborhood organizations to enhance the quality of their communities. The grants are available countywide for up to $15,000 for physical improvements to communities. Per the program's guidelines, mandatory homeowners' associations are required to pay a 50% match for their projects, and there is no match required for projects done by voluntary neighborhood organizations.
