Selection of one firm and an alternate to provide Lake Pickett Road Roadway Conceptual Analysis Study, Request for Proposals, Y24-817-CC from the following firms listed alphabetically:
* CDM Smith, Inc.
* Dewberry Engineers, Inc.
Further request Board authorization for the Procurement Division to negotiate and execute a contract with a budget of $700,000.
Further request Board authorization for the Procurement Division to formally terminate negotiations with the top ranked firm, if we are unable to come to a favorable negotiated agreement, and commence negotiations with the next ranked alternate, until a successful negotiation is reached. PROCUREMENT:
This contract will provide a high-level technical evaluation to determine the benefits and challenges of widening the roadway to improve access, safety, and mobility in east Orange County between Colonial Drive (State Road 50) to Percival Road. This project is located in District 5.
FUNDING:
Funding is available in account number 1002-072-2732-3110.
DISCUSSION:
The consultant shall assist the County by providing project planning, preliminary engineering, and environmental/social impact analysis services for the project. The consultant shall perform those services required for location/design studies, social and environmental effects, multimodal use, safety, engineering reports and public hearings.
