Approval to award Invitation for Bids Y24-780-CR, Orange County Convention Center West Building Exhibit Halls D and E Improvements, to the low responsive and responsible bidder, Poli Construction Inc., in the estimated contract award amount of $5,442,357. PROCUREMENT:
Work under this contract consists of removal of the show manager's offices and restrooms between exhibit halls D2 and E1 in the Orange County Convention Center. The first floor of this area currently houses three sets of stairs to the second floor, service kitchen with coolers, elevator lobby, a bank of men's and women's restrooms, and janitor's closet. The second floor consists of two show management offices and a set of single user men's and women's restrooms. The existing airwalls that close off the two openings on either side shall be removed and replaced with one large airwall. The removal of these structures will improve the ability of guests to move between halls D and E and increase the amount of rental exhibit hall square footage. This project is located in District 6.

Funding is available in account number 4430-035-0966-59-6210.
APPROVALS:
The Orange County Convention Center and Business Development Division concur with this recommendation.
