PROJECT: Fiscal Year 2025 Fire Prevention and Safety Grant, Award Number: EMW-2025-FP-01098
PURPOSE: The Department of Homeland Security, through the Federal Emergency Management Agency, awarded Fiscal Year 2025 Fire Prevention and Safety Grant, Award Number EMW-2025-FP-01098 to the Orange County Fire Rescue Department (OCFRD) in the amount of $333,333.33, with $16,666.67 in matching non-federal funds. This grant project focuses on the purchase of a mobile fire and life-safety education trailer to support OCFRD's Office of the Fire Marshal Community Risk Reduction Services’ public education efforts. The trailer will include interactive instructional features that simulate common residential fire and life-safety hazards in a safe and controlled environment.
