The Clerk of the Board is responsible for keeping accurate minutes and maintaining Board records for each Board of County Commissioner (BCC) and Value Adjustment Board (VAB) meeting. In addition, every 4 years, the Clerk of the Board office provides staff support to the Charter Review Commission (CRC) appointed by the BCC. Please contact our office if you need an accessible version of documents on this page, and one will be provided.

PROJECT: Bright Community Trust, Inc.

PURPOSE: In March of 2023, the Governor signed Senate Bill 102, the Live Local Act, amending section 125.379, Florida Statutes, which requires each county to prepare an inventory list every three years of real property, to which the county holds a fee simple title and is appropriate for use as affordable housing. As a result of the Live Local Act, Orange County's most recent property inventory list was adopted on October 24, 2023, via Resolution No. 2023-M-49 and includes 25 lots identified as appropriate for use as affordable housing and provides for the authority for the Real Estate Management Division to transfer the deeds to those properties. The Statute provides five ways in which the County may dispose of these properties, including the donation of the property to a non-profit housing organization for the construction of permanent affordable housing.
