Approval to award Invitation for Bids Y26-194-GO, Intelligent Transportation Systems – Fiber Optic Network, to the low responsive and responsible bidder, Advanced Cabling Solutions Inc., in the total contract award amount of $3,061,624.30 for a five-year term.
In the event the bidder recommended above fails to achieve timely compliance with pre-award deliverables, as defined in the Invitation for Bids, including, but not limited to, State Division of Corporations registration, E-verify, insurance and bonds, further request authorization for the Procurement Division to award to the next low responsive and responsible bidder as listed in the bid tabulation herein, to the extent practicable and advantageous to the County. PROCUREMENT:
Work consists of the maintenance, construction, and repair of the Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) for Orange County. The work includes the repair and installation of fiber optic cable, conduit, pullbox and ITS components found at traffic signal locations, master communication huts, and their connections to the Traffic Management Center. The installation and repair of the ITS communication network infrastructure includes, but is not limited to:
Installation of fiber optic cable and related connections and infrastructure
Fiber testing and investigation and repair of outages
Troubleshooting of the communication network
Installation and configuration of ITS communication huts cabinets
