PROCUREMENT:
This amendment will provide additional funding to meet fuel needs based on the County’s usage increases. Pricing for diesel fuel has remained below budgeted levels (FY2024 average cost of $2.94/gal vs. $3.50/gal budgeted) - but usage has significantly increased. Solid Waste specifically saw a large increase in using these small load deliveries to fill temporary fuel tanks to support their operations, while their larger fuel tanks are out-of-service (estimated to be out of service through June 2025).
FUNDING:
Funding is available in account numbers 5530-043-2035-4180, 5530-043-2035-4185, 5530-043-2035-4186, 5530-043-2035-4187, 1009-034-0688-4185, 1009-034-0688-4180, 4410-038-1010-4185, and 4430-035-0922-4185.
APPROVALS:
The Fleet Management Division concurs with this recommendation.
REMARKS:
On March 5, 2024, the Board authorized award of Invitation for Bids Y24-103-MV to Palmdale Oil Company, LLC., in the estimated award amount of $2,255,568.03 for a one-year term, with four additional one-year renewal terms.
Previous contract amendment is as follows:
Amendment No. 1: Increased the total contract amount by $112,778.40, for a revised estimated contract amount of $2,368,346.43.
