Approval and execution for the Orange County Sheriff’s Office to spend $15,000 from the FY 2024 Law Enforcement Trust Fund-State Forfeitures for eligible contributions to Harbor House of Central Florida ($10,000) and Children’s Safety Village of Central Florida ($5,000). Harbor House of Central Florida - $10,000. This organization is committed to providing comprehensive services to victims of domestic violence and to provide domestic violence education to Central Florida communities. The 2024 Signature Purple Door Luncheon honoring Champions of Courage will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at the Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, FL.
Children’s Safety Village of Central Florida - $5,000. The Children’s Safety Village is one of Orange County’s essential resources for life-safety education for young children. Last year staff served over 22,000 community residents with programs and services focused on drowning prevention, pedestrian and bike safety, gun safety, internet safety, and dangerous person awareness.
