Approval to award Invitation for Bids Y24-149-KK, Aerial Mosquito Control, to the sole responsive and responsible bidder, Clarke Environmental Mosquito Management, Inc., in the estimated annual amount of $253,000 for a one-year term. Further request authorization of the Procurement Division to renew the contract for four additional one-year terms. [(Health Services Department Mosquito Control Division] Procurement Division)

PROCUREMENT:
This contract will provide application of Dibrom Concentrate by aircraft to control adult mosquitoes within the county on an as-needed basis.
FUNDING:
Funding is available in account number 0230-060-2470-3197.
APPROVALS:
The Mosquito Control Division concurs with this recommendation.
REMARKS:
One bid was received in response to this Invitation for Bids (IFB) and was evaluated for responsiveness, responsibility, and price reasonableness. Price reasonableness was established by comparison to current contracted pricing. To further establish the pricing is reflective of the current market, the bid was also compared to aerial spraying contracts for Charlotte, Brevard, Martin, and Sarasota Counties. All references confirmed satisfactory completion of work similar in scope and magnitude. Therefore, award is recommended to Clarke Environmental Mosquito Management, Inc.
