Approval to Award Invitation for Bids Y25-707-JF, Sheriff's Sector IV Electrical Distribution Systems and Generator Replacement, to the low responsive and responsible bidder, Echo ED Corp, in the total contract award amount of $1,984,360 including Additive No. 1 and Additive No. 2. ([Administrative Services Department Capital Projects Division] Procurement Division).

PROCUREMENT:
The project includes the removal and replacement of the existing emergency electrical distribution equipment and generator to be located in a new enclosed equipment courtyard near the northeast corner of the building. A new underground electrical service lateral will be tied to the existing pad mounted transformer and the replacement of the existing step down transformers and the related work.
Additive No. 1 includes the replacement of the existing interior lighting fixtures throughout the building with new LED interior luminaires, along with a new addressable lighting control system throughout the building. Additive No. 2 includes a new natural gas generator along with the associated natural gas piping and accessories instead of the new diesel generator. This project is located in District 6.
FUNDING:
Funding is available in account number 1023-043-0263-3810.
APPROVALS:
The Capital Projects Division and Business Development Division concur with this recommendation.
