RECOMMENDATION:

Selection of one firm and an alternate to provide Building Envelope Engineering and Consulting Services, Request for Proposals Y24-907-RC from the following firms listed alphabetically:
* A/R/C Associates, Incorporated
* Jay Ammon Architect, Inc.
Further request Board authorization for the Procurement Division to negotiate the professional services rates and execute a five-year contract to provide the services for future requirements.
Further request Board authorization for the Procurement Division to formally terminate negotiations with the top ranked firm, if we are unable to come to a favorable negotiated agreement, and commence negotiations with the ranked alternate, until a successful negotiation is reached. PROCUREMENT:
The contract will provide building envelope engineering and consulting services for projects located throughout Orange County.
FUNDING:
The County will fund task authorizations associated with these continuing contracts on an as needed basis.
DISCUSSION:
The scope of professional building envelope services to be provided and/or performed by the consultant, either by its "in-house" staff or through a sub-consultant arrangement, for selected projects may include, but not be limited to, providing and/or performing services or tasks such as:
