PROCUREMENT:
This purchase order provides for emergency services that are required for landscape maintenance while a procurement process is completed. These services address landscape maintenance and mowing along the County-maintained roadways in the Zellwood Area. The period of performance is January 8, 2025 through June 12, 2025.
FUNDING:
Funding is available in account number 1002-072-2906-3816.
APPROVALS:
The Public Works Department concurs with this recommendation.
REMARKS:
This work will consist of landscape maintenance and mowing. If these services are not provided, the vegetation overgrowth will create safety hazards for pedestrians and sight distance issues for vehicle traffic.
To ensure continuity of service while a procurement process is complete, three emergency quotes were obtained. The quote received from Lawnwalker Services, Inc. is reasonable based on comparison with other current Orange County landscape maintenance contracts, as well as contracts with Osceola, Brevard, and Seminole Counties.
