body
PROJECT: N/A
PURPOSE: The Code Enforcement Board (CEB) is composed of seven members. The enabling legislation for the CEB stipulates that "the members shall be appointed on the basis of experience or interest in the fields of zoning and building control and shall, whenever possible, include: 1) an architect; 2) a businessman; 3) an engineer/surveyor; 4) a general contractor; 5) a subcontractor; and 6) a licensed real estate broker or licensed real estate salesman." In addition, the Board enacted legislation in 1993 concerning the makeup of the CEB that further provided that "subject to the preceding requirements for inclusion of certain professional specialties on the code enforcement board, each district of the county shall be represented by at least one member." Terms are for three years, and the CEB does not have term limits.
Matthew DeBoard has resigned his position on the CEB; therefore, he shall need to be replaced. He was serving in the real estate broker/salesman representative category; however, nominees for his replacement are not limited to that category but must be eligible in one of the listed categories.
The following nominations have been received by the Agenda Development Office:
Commissioner Moore: Andre Berry Commissioner Uribe: Lydia Pisano
Attached is a list of the current members, as well as a list of all of the applications on file for the CEB. I have also attached the applications of Mr. Berry and Ms. Pisano.
Please let me know if you require further information.
