PROJECT: Work Release Center Update
PURPOSE: The purpose of this discussion item is to provide an update on the Work Release Center which will include: background information on its use, assessment of the current condition of the building and ongoing costs associated with maintaining the unoccupied facility, and review of potential uses of the site based on needs identified through the Countywide Space Study. Staff will also discuss the basis for recommending demolition of the building and request Board approval of the Comptroller’s associated Consent Agenda item, Dispose of assets related to the Work Release Center, that was pulled to be heard with this Discussion item.
BUDGET: Funding is available in Accounting Line #1023-043-1759.
